On May 29th , 41 members of the Manitoba “Prairie Pathfinders” Hiking Group came to Sandy Lake to start their 10th Anniversary Weekend Walk on the Trans Canada Trail. Following a tour of the Town which included the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Earl Symnonds’ Toy Trains, Stella Kowalchuk’s “Shantey Gallery”, the Pioneer Hut & the Ukrainian Cultural Museum, a Traditional Ukrainian meal - “like Babba used to make” - was served by Communities in Bloom.
