RECREATION

The Little Saskatchewan River runs through Harrison, and the countryside, offering many opportunities to camp, canoe, motor boat, swim and fish on our pristine lakes and rivers. Golf and hunting are activities widely enjoyed in the summer and fall months, with winter-time attractions that include snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, curling and ice fishing.

Sandy Lake Lions Campground has approximately 60 sites (serviced and unserviced). Barbecue pits, picnic shelters, washrooms, showers, drinking water and sewage disposal are available. There is boat launching (as the campground is near the lake) and group camping. It is wheelchair accessible and operates from May to October. The beach, fishing and playground are all near by, as is the golf course.
Phone: (204) 585-5227 for more information.

The Sandy Lake Golf Course features a Pro Shop, licensed restaurant, lounge and VLT's. Equipment sales and rentals are available as are outdoor tennis courts. Movie rentals are also available.
